For their comfort, kids need to get dry quickly. That is why these boardshorts are designed to allow rapid drainage of water (eyelet in the side pocket, drainage holes in the inner briefs). The component has thus been given a water-repellent treatment which prevents the fabric from retaining water and helps it to run off. This treatment, which can deteriorate after repeated washing, can be reactivated at any time by tumble drying the garment.
