Let your child explore even in moderate rain, thanks to this waterproof hiking jacket. One hour of protection, guaranteed!
In what way is this jacket waterproof?
Waterproofing is tested against the JIS 1092 standard: the resistance of a fabric to outside water pressure is tested and expressed as a water column in mm. The higher it is, the better! For example, 5,000 mm (or Schmerbers) means it can withstand a 1-hour shower. These values are given before washing to guarantee reliability.
Why wear a windproof jacket?
The coating applied to the inner surface of the fabric makes it waterproof AND windproof. This dual function effectively protects you from the body feeling cold, whether your children are busy exercising or at rest.
A jacket that breathes, what’s the purpose of this?
RET measures the fabric’s ability to wick away your child’s perspiration towards the outside, preventing the discomfort of moisture on their skin. At RET=12, this jacket breathes effectively. Scale: <6 = extremely breathable, <12 = highly breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.
How do you retain the waterproofing properties?
Always keep your child’s jacket effective! Reactivate the protective layer every 3 washes (with intensive rinsing), or after a dozen uses in the rain. Easy to do: 15 min in the tumble drier, or with a hairdryer held 20 cm away.
