Our new aluminium endurance bike will accompany you on your sport rides. The EDR AF 105 combines handling and comfort.

Frame

New Van Rysel aluminium frame (AF) with variable thickness to lighten the frame as much as possible. Aluminium is the perfect material for getting a good balance of propulsion and comfort. The frame has an endurance geometry (EDR) which allows you to tackle long distances with maximum comfort. We have chosen to leave the cables on the outside of the frame for easier maintenance and replacement of cables and housings. The frame is UCI-approved

FORK

Carbon and aluminium Van Rysel fork. A perfect choice for precision steering and performance at a reasonable price. Simple pivot brake for a biting brake. Frame weight: 1450 to 1470g in size M Fork weight: 640g in size M

Drive train

Shimano 11-speed drive train Shimano 105 R7000 double front derailleur. Shimano 105 R7000 GS 11-speed rear derailleur. Shimano RS510 double compact chainset.

CHAINSET/CASSETTE

Shimano RS510 50x34 crankset. Crank length varies according to size of bike: S: 170 mm M: 172.5 mm L: 175 mm Microshift 11S 11x32 cassette (11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-24-28-32)

Michelin lithion 2 in 25 mm for maximum comfort. This model is known for its longevity and good puncture resistance. Excellent grip and high performance, this flexible bead tyre is versatile and efficient.

Excellent bike - recommended for all levels

This bike has done 6,000 km in the last 6-8 months and I could not be happier with it. The ride quality is great and very smooth, it handles like the best of them, gears are responsive and precise, braking power is good (no need for disc brakes here). On top of being comfortable and well suited for long distances (I've done 200km+ rides with no discomfort), this bike is FAST! I can't see better value out there at this price point. If you want to use this bike for endurance / ultra-distance, especially considering how rough/variable tarmac can be in the UK, I would recommend you replace the tires for something a little tougher such as Michelin Pro 4 Endurance, or Continental Grand Prix 4 Season. A huge kudos to the Decathlon / Van Rysel team for designing a great bike offering immense value. I hope to see more Van Rysel bikes on the road in years to come, as the brand becomes more recognised and the cycling community acknowledges the value and quality of these bikes.

Excellent bike

I purposely chose an endurance bike to compensate for some existing injuries. I expected comfort and no speed. The comfort was a given but the speed was a real surprise. The bike can hold its own when it comes to speed, very fast. Gears are great 105 all round . I’ve been looking for areas of the bike to upgrade and it is a real struggle. The only negative to the bike is the frame weight , everything else ie wheels , seat post , saddle are very good and are not to heavy either . All in all I would really recommend this bike. However In hindsight I wish I went for carbon frame version purely for weight .

Returned To Shop Without Riding After Four Days

I bought this bike online on 1st February and click collected it the next day. Later, when I looked the bike over at home, I realised that the bike had been fitted with cheaper, heavier Fulcrum Racing 900 wheels and not with the Racing 6 wheels specified
