Product Reviews

Takes the weight off the knees; basic with just cord rather than strap so not so easy on the hands.
For 5 pounds each these trekking poles are brilliant. Very easy to use, easy to adjust. Love the way I can just slide my hands easily within the cord. Use them alot. Would definitely order again
Only used it once so far - up the Devil’s Staircase near Glencoe on the West Highland Way. It was perfect, solid, good height adjustment too. It even whistles a song when it’s windy!

These poles are cheapest but extremely basic
We use these for Scouts - both for walking, and making tarp shelters. For a fiver, you can't go wrong!
Great poles at a great PRICE used on west highland WAY scotland
I purchased these to try out walking poles. They were the cheapest in store. I completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge yesterday using these poles. Usually by the time I'm descending Ingleborough (the final peak), I am experiencing knee pain, yesterday I had none. I would imagine you could buy more expensive ones but these were great to try out poles for the first time. I will certainly using them again. Two notes: 1. These poles don't have straps so rely on your grip. I didn't find this a problem. 2. Due to the design, they whistle when wind blows through the holes. I didn't find it a problem. For a fiver apiece they are hard to beat.
I have back trouble and these poles have had such a positive impact for walking on the beach etc which I can now do regularly.
Great pole at a great price , lightweight and easy to store away
Excellent product for the price and easy to manage or handle
Can’t beat it for the price
Great value for money snd feels good quality
Wanted something light to cope with tricky balance moments like crossing streams. Once you get the hang of the adjustment for length, these give a very positive support because the click os strong
Good for simple walking excursions, but would be improved if there was an cover for the tip for use in urban locations

How it was designed...
Fully designed and validated by our team. Why have we chosen the Push-pin? Some users do not want to make adjusting their poles more complicated than it needs to be. This system is simple, reliable, light and cheap. Why are the tubes oversize? Because this model is designed for walkers who need to be reassured about their reliability. Why a straight foam handle? Because our field tests have shown that comfort is better than with a plastic handle.
How to adjust your poles to the correct length?
Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To do this: - pull the lower part until the push-pin locks (lower metal button)- slide the middle tube until the upper button reaches the desired hole - use the lines printed on the tubes to align the push-pin with the holesNever go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.
Directions for use
This hiking pole is designed to help you balance, propel yourself and distribute effort between arms and legs.To be on the safe side, check before you set off and at regular intervals that your baton is locked in place by simulating heavy bumps. Do not put on your backpack in case of a storm. Some users are sensitive to the whistling noise that can occur when the wind sweeps through the adjustment holes.
Care tips
Proper maintenance of your baton will ensure that it functions optimally and that it lasts longer. After use, if water has penetrated the stick, remove the strands and allow to dry. If necessary, clean the dust or mud with water or a dry brush. Once dry, you can reassemble the strands. We recommend that you do not attempt to oil or grease the mechanisms.
Why is the pole sold individually?
At Decathlon, we have decided to sell our hiking/trekking poles individually. First because of how they are used. Indeed, some people only want to use one pole. Also, if one of your poles breaks, this means you only have to buy one and not a complete pair.
Accessories sold separately and adapted to this model
The advantage of buying Forclaz trekking poles is that you have a wide choice of compatible accessories and spare parts. So you can enjoy it for as long as possible.Hiking pole caps: ref. 8580865Lower section MT100: ref. 8648384
