Our advice for mounting your hook:

Before attaching your bike storage hook, remember to allow enough space between your ceiling and hook (around a half-wheel of space) to easily hook and unhook your bike.Adapt the hardware (wall plugs and screws) according to the type of wall and ask a professional for advice if needed.

Mounting:

You can install your hook on the wall or ceiling in 2 different ways:- Perpendicular to the wall (with the two pre-drilled holes vertical), for storing the bike with tyres pressed against the wall- Vertically (with the mounting holes horizontal), for storing your bike parallel to the wall

Screws:

We recommend first checking the type of wall you have (solid, plasterboard, brick, etc.) to ensure you have the right screws and wall plugs.For example: On a solid wall, we recommend using 40mm wall plugs and PZ 2 screws with dimensions of minimum 5mm x 60mm.

Bike holder

Great little piece of kit good for getting cycles out of the way.

Excellent but soft coating melts in 30c + temps

These are excellent, I've got a few. This year in the record UK temps of 34c the soft rubber coating melts / softens so the bike spokes cut down to the melt core. I'm going to use bike handle grip tape to fix as rated to 45c !

Works as intended

Mounted my road bike (8.75kg) by its rear wheel and perfectly sturdy on an interior wall. Used 60mm x 5mm general purpose screws (purchased separately) and using a wall stud detector, screwed directly into the timber behind the wall for a secure fixing without the need for using wall plugs. Recommend also applying felt sticky pads to any interior walls to prevent the bike from leaving marks at its touch points while it hangs (wheel, handlebars etc.)
