Product Reviews

Original one packed in after around 6 years of use, bought this as a replacement and so far so good
I have 3 of these - enough said! I prefer the wireless version but seemingly no longer available. Top vfm.
Nice simple to use and set up speedo, looks good too with battery saver in place so the display is not always on when it's not being used.
This is basic but good value for money. It would have been nice to have elapsed time and maximum speed included in its functions but at £8 it does the job reliably.
This is a cheap ,very basic device. It tells you how fast you go and far you've been, and what time it is. It gets a 4 star rating for basic good value. The instructions are rubbish ,especially regarding programming, but fitting is fairly obvious. The gap between the spoke magnet and the fork mounted sensor needs to be about half a centimetre to register a signal, worth remembering before you send the thing back as faulty!
The unit did not register any movement. I can only assume mine is a faulty unit which I am now returning for a refund.
It's a tidy little device and easy enough to fit. However having attached the sensor to the frame at rear and having attached the magnet to the spoke the gap is nearly 30mm. I just wanted something cheap and cheerful to give me an idea of distance and average speed on the turbo trainer. Now I shall have to improvise and see if I can mount the sensor closer to the magnet.
These are designed to be fitted to the front wheel (not the rear) as the gap between the stays and the wheel is too wide for it to be effective. This is not suitable for turbo trainer use.
For turbo trainers, we recommend this wireless model as its digitally transmitted data of up to 3m makes it ideal for rear wheel use: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/500-wireless-cyclometer-id_8382192.html

The actual digital part works, however the magnet attachment and sensor doesn’t do anything- can’t get them any closer to the sensor because the metal bar of the bike is too far away! Was tol In the storm I can use it on the rear wheel for a turbo trainer!
Hi Helen,
Thank you for leaving a review. It's difficult to advise without seeing the turbo trainer set up you have. Are you able to send some photos please and I can try to recommend a solution?

Good, simple to install product. Ease of use. Basic functions for average speed, total miles, sector miles, speed per hour. All info you really need inc clock.
Excellent product, has all the info I need, not interested in estimates of calories burned or CO2 saved as some other products provide. The installation instructions are not totally intuitive, but I got there eventually. Much easier the second time when I put the same Btwin 100 on my wife's bike. Good design, easy to use.
helpful for when you do a long ride to see how fare you have been and the time it takes
I'm quite happy with this - I wanted a simple little bike computer to give me an indication of speed and distance. It's difficult to quantify whether you're getting fitter/faster unless you actually have an idea of how fast and far you've managed to go. I didn't need anything complicated or expensive like the colour screened Garmin Edge, so this fit the bill perfectly. It does km/h and m/h, and measures instantaneous speed, avg. speed and route distance, with a total history distance that persists, and can be set for a number of pre-calibrated wheel sizes. Seems fairly accurate compared to a GPS (need to do a long straight stretch to compare with a GPS, as a GPS based cycle computer will average distance over time to give speed). One thing worth mentioning - the fork part of the sensor doesn't fit brilliantly on fairly flat, aerodynamic carbon forks. It fits okay but I do need to check it every now and then. It would suit a more rounded 'classical' fork design like a hybrid or touring bike better with better purchase on the fork.
Simple to set up, clear display. Cannot comment on longevity but all good so far.
it does what i need it to. the price is right for an entry level product
A pretty good computer with the basic functions. The only function missing I would have liked is the actual ride time function, but still good value for $17.
