27.5x1.9-2.5 Bike Inner Tube

These are a touch thinner than my usual inner tubes, but for the price, you can't complain. They do the job and you can't quibble with the price.

Value.

Got a flat and needed a new inner tube. Such a great price I bought a couple just to be on the safe side.!

Rubbish

Cheap but very much not cheerful. Replacing a punctured tube with this, only to find out it's already leaking air. Found the hole and repaired it with a patch and still leaks. In the end I patched up the original tube and gave up on this one. Usually like decathlon stuff but will not buy inner tubes from there again.

I'm sorry to read that the innertube was punctured straight out of the box. This is highly unusual and I am unable to explain why it's the case in this instance.

Good budget tube

Good budget tube but my local store only has 48 mm valve stems, do they have anything shorter?

Good Price

Always carried, seldom used but worth having with you. Can't go wrong at the price

Tube - Presta

What can I say about this. Got them on my backpack. Still there, so they don't run away by them self! Not to heavy to carry around. Hope I wont need to use them at all. Not too expensive, so it's fine if I don't use them.

Tube quality is good but valve design is bad

Dear Team, I'm using RR560 and Stock Tube was Kenda for my 27.5"x2.10" wheel. I took additional Presta valve tube for backup and once I used this spare tube, I found Presta Valve is not having any ring to tight it with rim so after installation, it was in loose - movable condition. the only disadvantage of this without tightening ring on valve, when I used mini hand pump, my two inner tubes, till date got damaged as due to multiple stroke while pumping, tube got damaged, where valve was attached. In your product picture, you are displaying valve with that ring but in the packet, it's plain.

Avg tire

Just an ordinary spare part nothing outstanding to comment. It just works

This inner tubing is thin and it burst during installation. So dangerous. Although i do not expect it to be the best quality upon this price but i do not expect it 'explode' is such a way. Dangerous item.

Hi Jesser,

I'm really sorry to hear about your dissatisfactory experience. Certainly you should not be experiencing any problems with the tube upon proper installation.

There are 2 quite common causes when tubes burst upon installation:

Tyre bead not seated fully

This is more common in wire bead tyres, when the bead is not seated fully, the tube can 'peek' out of that gap and burst during installation. Here's a great video that shows how it can happen. A clue is to look at how the tube burst - these kind of bursts tend to be quite big and the tube would be shredded near the point of explosion, just like in the video link above.

Rim tape slipped, twisted or damaged

On your bicycle rim bed (on the inside) there are holes to allow the spoke & nipple to be inserted during the construction of the wheel. These holes are normally covered with a rim strip to prevent the tube from inflating into those holes and bursting. Even if the rim is single-wall, the rim strips still protect the tube from the sharp edges of the spoke/nipple. It is possible for the rim tape to slip or be damaged, exposing the hole (double-wall rim) or spoke/nipple (single-wall rim). When tubes burst this way, the puncture is usually relatively small and on the section of tube facing inside - here's a picture showing how it might look like.

Otherwise, we are happy to refund or exchange the tube for a new one, for which you may contact our User Happiness Centre in Singapore Lab here :)

How to choose your inner tube

Check the information indicated on the sidewall of the tyre (diameter and width). For example, 27.5 x 2.10 means that the tyre is 27.5 inches in diameter and 2.10 inches wide.On the tyre sidewall you will also find the dimensions in mm in ETRTO international units. For example, 50-584 means a tyre that is 50mm wide and has an inner diameter of 584mm (approx. 27.5 x 2.00).

Removing an inner tube

Remove the old inner tube using B'Twin tyre levers

Checks to carry out before installing an inner tube

Check the condition of your tyre and replace it if necessary.Make sure no objects are lodged in the tyre.Check the condition of your tyre rim strip. A rim strip that is even slightly bent can cause punctures.Check that your rim does not have any other issues that could damage your inner tube.

Mounting the inner tube

Watch our video before you start.Pre-inflate the inner tube slightly to avoid pinching.Insert the valve, making sure you are using the correct valve for your rim.Put the inner tube entirely inside the tyre so that it fits inside the rim.Take care not to pinch the inner tube when fitting.

Mounting the tyre

Start mounting the tyre at the valve.Finish mounting the tyre opposite the valve to avoid pinching the inner tube.Never mount your tyre with a tool or a tyre lever, as you risk pinching and puncturing the inner tube.

Inflating the tyre

Inflate your tyre carefully, to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the tyre sidewall in PSI or bars, 1 bar = 14.51 PSI).Regularly check that your tyre is in the correct position as you inflate it.

Tip from the pros

To avoid punctures from pinching and for the best tyre performance, we recommend that you check your tyres and inflate them to the suggested pressure before every ride.
