Anti-Shock Hiking Pole - Grey/Blue
Filtered by translation missing: Loading reviews…

just used these every day for a 8 day coastal hike around Anglesey they are excellent fellow hikers i was with called them speedy sticks because they could'nt keep up with me did lose one of the rubber feet so will need to buy another set of them may be i didnt push on the pole enough

Good for knee support

The top of the range walking pole, with multiple height adjustments mean these can be quickly assembled and taken apart for ease of transport. Wrist strap also adjustable to length, poles feel sturdy in use. One star deducted because these are sold without rubber end pieces (available for an extra £2.99): a bit weird when the £10 version is sold with them attached

Bought poles for GR20

Poles took a little getting used too, loosing the bottom section in bushes etc as I'd not tightened them enough (my fault) Anti-shock worked a treat and cannot slate them, but however one of the titanium tip came out and the pole was worn down and will be returned as that should never have happened!

Spring mechanism

How to activate/deactivate antishock spring mechanism??

Thank you for your review  of the Forclaz 500 anti-shock pole. To engage or disengage the spring you need to twist the pole in the direction of the lock and unlock symbol on the pole itself (once the pole has been secured). If this isn't clear please pop into your local Decathlon where one of our trekking experts will be at hand to show you, otherwise please get in touch and i will be able to talk you through it step by step.

Not able to tighten - should it have springs?

My parents-in-law bought two poles for me as a Christmas gift but they do not tighten at all - they unscrew but the sections come apart - should they have springs in as mine do not.

Happy customer

A good and handy tool

I live in a 50 plus acre hilly estate in Kerala. And we have encouraged regeneration of natural vegetation for soil health and water conservation reasons Naturally this means a lot of green and bushes. This stick helpful while going around and about. The facility to easily adjust height and enable the internal shock absorber is quite convenient for me. I am not qualified to comment on whether this is a good buy, but personally I’m quite satisfied. It is lightweight, easy to clean and quite alright for me

Trekking pole - a must

Really useful when climbing down

Good product…

for trekking and hiking

nice product, sturdy, good for hiking in moderate hilly region's with little to no vegetation. good support. soft and nice grip, shock proof so good for knees. full support cant be expected if you are very tall 5-9' or 6 ft + , as the bottom part is thin and get shocky while coming down the hills.

Build Quality Is Bad

One of the extendable segments got stuck and was damaged

Additional Product informations

  • 100% Aluminium

  • 100% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate

How it was designed...

This model is entirely designed and approved by our team, at the foot of Mont Blanc. To fulfil the anti-shock promise, we have chosen this system with a spring integrated in the screw tightening system. We then designed a handle that enables powerful and comfortable grip whatever the position: along the tube for climbs and banking terrain, with the wrist-strap for efficient pushing and on the knob for descents.

How to adjust your poles to the correct length?

Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To adjust the length: unscrew the middle section, find the size of the pole you need and screw back tightly. Tighten more if you notice that the pole shortens as you use it. repeat with the lower section. Never go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.

Directions for use

These hiking poles are designed to help you balance, propel yourself and spread the effort between the arms and legs.To increase safety, before you start and at regular intervals, check your pole's locking mechanism by pressing down hard on it.Do not attach to your backpack in stormy weather.

Care tips

Maintaining your poles properly enable you to maintain optimal function and increases their lifespan. After use, if water has got into the pole, take the parts apart and allow to dry. Clean any dust and mud with water or without, with a soft brush or paintbrush.Once dry, you can reassemble the parts. We recommend that you do not try to oil or grease them.

Why sell them individually?

At Decathlon, we have decided to sell our hiking/trekking poles individually. First because of how they are used. Indeed, some people only want to use one pole. This meets their needs.Second, because if one of your poles breaks, you can buy only one pole rather than a pair.
