It became my day to day reusable drink bottle. I have it in my bag and desk at all time. Ecofriendly. Easy to rinse and wash. Perfect to put juices also to keep a bit cold for 2/3 hours after placing the bottle in the fridge. Easy to carry. Sad cannot fit with the cycle bottle holder.
At first glance you could be forgiven for thinking that the hole at the top of this receptacle provides a route for its contents to leak out, however after many years of research I have come to the conclusion the hole is a necessary evil to enable the receptacle to be filled with liquids in the first place. The trick behind this is simple, there is a black plug that you screw in once filled and it stops anything from getting out! It’s just amazing what they can come up with these days. So far I have filled it with water, juice, tea, wine, olive oil, kitchen cleaner, hand soap, franks hot sauce, milk, potato purée....honestly I think the list could be endless. Perhaps I will experiment with solids next like meats, cheeses and bread.
bought these to save buying plastic bottles. good size and very good value for money. keep drinks cool for over 4 hours, which is great.
I prefer metal flasks. This would have got 5 star, but the hole on the cap was too small for my rucksack clip. But I improvised and added a bigger ring so that the flask won't fall off when hiking.
I've been reusing plastic bottles for awhile but this is much more robust and eco friendly. Also prices at Decathlon are very competitive.
I've been using this bottle for a while now and have no complaints. Its simple design looks good and the bottle is great for its purpose. (I'm using it only for water. No sugars, flavours, or anything of the sort.)
Why don’t you do a 0.5L one? The 0.75L is too big for the side pocket of my small rucksack. You do have one in plastic but I want something healthier that will last longer.
The bottle is great overall but I am facing a severe issue: I notice mold growth on the inside of the white silicon ring. I scrape it away regularly but it keeps growing back... Not very sanitary indeed.
Had a metal sigg bottle years ago had meant to replace it for a long time after it burst. Had intended to buy the cheaper metal bottle but there was none in stock. This is still reasonably priced though, in silver anyway seems to avoid showing scratches. Cheaper than the sigg bottles so I bought two
Good bottle, does what it is intended for
I like this kind of product for it's simplicity and effectiveness in use. What have found with this bottle is that in that hot weather we had in Melbourne for a period of time the water stayed cold for well over an hour after being taken out of the fridge and I look forward to seeing how it performs with hot drinks in it during colder weather.
Good quality product
Works as a primary or the backup bottle for your hike or trek or camping or any kind of off roading. Though, I strongly suggest you use an insulation cover for keeping things hot or cold as aluminum permits heat exchange. If you have a plastic bottle or hydration pack for hydration, I suggest you carry this trusty, featherweight bottle. The design is efficient and slips into molle holders or standard backpack holders. It can also give you the added advantage of boiling water in case of emergencies for preparing meals or water purification if you are into outdoor sports being made of aluminum. Con: The mouth of the bottle is not standard to bottle purifiers used by a lot of trekkers and wildlife watchers, like lifestraw or sawyer for instance. This WONT FIT YOUR FILTER. Sadly, that's a little disappointing for me, that's why the 4 stars. But, other than that its perfect.
