Our design teams have developed this UV-protection swimming suit to protect babies from the sun during activities in the water and by the sea
The baby short-sleeved UV-protection suit made from recycled fabric provides protection from UV rays, even in the water, and is easy to put on with press studs at the back of the collar and crotch.

Very small fitting and tight in awkward places. A baby not even five months old cannot fit in the one year old size. Very small and would not likely fit with a swim diaper

Great UV suit but it is sized very small. I bought a size 1 for a 3 month old and it was just right.
It is a great UV suite but a warning that it is sized very small. I bought a 24 month size for an average 16 month old and it was too small.

Sizing was too small

Unfortunately the biggest size for this model is only up to 4 years old which is the size you have bought. The next bigger sizing will be a different product for 6 years old. Protection for kids
Baby's skin is very sensitive to the sun, because infants' defence systems only become effective after the age of 3. For identical exposure, the effects of the sun are two to three times stronger on a child than on an adult. It is therefore important to protect them effectively.
What does upf 50+ mean?
UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and is standardised worldwide.It defines the protection level of a fabric and more precisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through.To meet the standards, it must block at least 95 % of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95 % of UVA and 98 % of UVB rays.
Behaviour in the sun?
Although this UV-protection suit provides protection from the sun, other factors such as reflections (from water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, and so on, must be taken into account. Wearing this suit does not exempt the wearer from following the relevant advice: wear sunglasses, regularly apply suitable sun cream, wear a hat, stay hydrated, etc.
Sustainable development additional information
By recycling plastic bottles or used textiles to produce our polyester, we are reducing our use of petroleum-based resources while retaining the qualities and performance of the fabric during use.
