So where's the info?

It says see the instructions or user guide to check suitability for your vehicle. So where is it? You have to buy it to find out?

Went straight in the bin!!

This is an absolute joke of a product. Not an easy solution and can't return it as it is so awkward to get in position that whilst wrestling with it the item got scratched. I would not recommend this product at all!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Excellent rack

For a price this is very clever and thought through rack. You need to be comfortable with mounting and building things and apply your brain while you are fiitting it, but if your common sense is in place, nothing too complicated. I have got it with no istructions attached and it took me 20 mins to figure everything out and mount it with bikes. Everything is secure and quite reliable, again, provided you do have a bit of brain and common sense

OK, but your kids bikes may not fit.

Pros - rack was competitively priced. - assembly and first fit were ok. Instructions were minimal - better off reading them indoors before you start, as you'll need to jump back and forth between pages to work out strap lengths and arm positions for your particular car & model. Cons - bought for 20in and 16in kids bikes which are too big to fit in the car boot. The arms of the rack are 40cm apart. The 20in bike would fit (with a false crossbar adaptor), but the 16in bike is too small for the arms to go through the frame, even with an adaptor. Returning to shop. Probably fine for adult bikes, but not all kids bikes.

Bad big for St 100

Very difficult I tried many times to put my bike st 100 but I failed it is not for small frame bike.. I will go back to decathlon shop to refund it.

Good quality - Awful instructions

The product itself seems of good build quality and it is easy to visualise how it fits. However, trying to follow the instructions ( so they don't fall off at 70mph on the motorway) is cryptic. Just a load of pictures with numbers and arrows but no writing to accompany it to explain how best to fit. Managed to get home 20 miles after picking up the new bikes and all seems ok. Hopefully still the case after my 100 mile trip in the morning. I would suggest BTWIN improve the instructions to match the quality of the product.

Good bike rack, but watch the rubber protectors.

I've used this bike rack a few times, and after the first time it's become really easy to set up and use. The instructions can seem a little difficult, but once you've worked out what settings you need for you specific car on the adjustable parts, following the pictures becomes more straight forward. You might just need to spend a few minutes more the first time you use it. I've also tended to leave it stored 'half assembled' which cuts down on the amount of faffing about; just leave the bottom part fixed in position. The metal little hooks come with bits of rubber to help protect your car, but mine have a habit of falling off. I lost two without noticing, so now I have to use random bits of folded cardboard to protect my paint work, and also have to keep an eye of for the other rubbers bits trying to escape (they do try!) This is the only reason I wouldn't give this product 5 stars.

It make deformation of your car surfaces

At installation for the second trip it caused deformation of car Hundai Tucson roof and back door with very deep angle of deformation and scratch till a metal. If you cherish your car DO NOT USE IT. I's my worst idea to buy.

Please check and see if this rack is compatible with your car. When I try enter the details on the chatbot, it says that it isn't.

Too complicated to fit with rotten instructions

Just recently discovered Decathlon and I'm most impressed by the customer service. We bought the rack in store to take the bikes home that we had just bought. We paid for it and took it downstairs to where the car was parked. An hour later we had made no progress In fitting it and went back to the store. The instructions are about as useful as a chocolate teapot and you need a microscope to read them. They are printed too small and badly printed. One of the very helpful staff came out to help us and did get it attached but somehow it's not right and we don't feel safe using it. At the moment it's off the car. To remove it required several straps to be undone. Also something about a red strap is mentioned? Where does it go? Suggest a Video would make it much simpler. The rating and would you recommend is based on the very poor instructions. If these were sorted it would be 5 stars

Thank you for your feedback. A film is available here:

Can't really comment on product

I can't really say if this was any good as it wouldn't fit my car. It appears to be good quality however I had to return it. There are several positions to set this up depending on what car you have. My car isn't listed in the table in the instructions and it clearly states that if your car isn't listed then you shouldn't use it. I suspect that I could have fitted without issue but my thought process was that if anything went wrong then I couldn't make a complaint if I didn't follow the instructions. This is actually the 2nd carrier I've returned for this reason. Website doesn't help and store staff are less than knowledgeable about this issue. Come on decathlon update your instructions and website! If your car is listed then I suspect this carrier would be perfect

really poor if you have ladies/children's bikes

We were not advised in the shop that this would not suit ladies or children's bikes. Only now do I see that we should buy an adapter, at £17.99 each, for each ladies and child bike - so that is all three of them! So basically B'twin have designed a bike rack for men. Women and children pay extra. No thanks, I'll take my money elsewhere.

Thank you very much for your feedback regarding this bike rack. I can fully understand your frustration.
It is difficult to safely squeeze low framed bikes on to this rack (and from other brands such as Thule as well) but it is recommended that you use a frame adapter. We have this information to our website product pages to help inform customers to avoid disappointment. Kids bikes do frequently go on this rack, but in order for it to get the optimal fit, I would suggest adjusting the angle of the clamps (with an allen key) allowing a snug fit on your frame. A bike with a horizontal top tube fits with no issue. I will make a point of reminding the store teams of the need for a frame adapter in some cases.

Cycle carrier

Relatively easy to assemble and use once in a position to take time to read instructions Disappointing that store staff are not allowed to support this being installed at the store to allow a more efficient departure when picking up a new bike and carrier
