I would agree that this product does have some comfort to sleep on. However this is quite heavily outweighed by the immense difficulty it takes to build and then return to the bag. I thought it had broken my cheek bone.
Really easy to put together and dismantle; way easier than cheaper traditional army style metal frame camp beds.
Great product ,especially as I have back issues . Purchased two .Good price Strong and doesn't collapse on you like others . Can be hard to put together at first but once you know its easy
Easy to put together and take apart. Very comfortable and I’m 6ft 3 and 17st. Doubt you can jump about on it but great for a good nights sleep
Very difficult to put up
Normally an airbed person but wanted to try something different/off the floor. Although looks and feels a good quality product, I (as a side sleeper) found it AWFUL to sleep on - very hard, no "give" in it - felt like sleeping on a wooden plank!! Not that I got any sleep!!!!!!
Great sturdy and comfortable bed. Not at all hard to assemble IF you read the instructions! They describe the specific method you should use to tension the bed and if you follow that, it's quite easy.
I bought two for my kids and gave up trying to put them together on my own, I am not a small, weak person but just didn't have the strength. My teenage son and a large, sturdy male friend managed to do them in the end, but it took them longer than it took me to put up the tent. I will not be using them again. I am really disappointed as I have always been happy with Decathlon products before.
We bought this for an imminent camping trip, like with many things we brought it home to test it out. It's not the lightest of frames so if you're without a car and have to walk some distance then this purchase may not be for you. We started to assemble with the elasticated poles for my son to trap the webbing of his thumb/finger in the pole. Great start. Once with some real effort of putting the the poles into the bed base, we had to put the legs on. As a grown adult man, this was some effort. My wife couldn't do it and there was no way my son was. We're not convinced so we'll keep it for now but pretty sure we'll shop around and take it back.
I was apprehensive about putting this up after what reviews had been saying about it being ridiculously difficult - it's not! I put two of these up in about 10 mins (I timed myself) with two kids jumping around me whilst doing it. You obviously do have to put a bit of tension on the frame when pushing the legs on, but that's why it's so taught when lying on it - and it was no where near as bad as what I thought it would be. It's a really sturdy camp bed, the legs are a lot thicker than other camp beds of the same style. I also think that it's very comfortable - we're planning on putting a mat on top of them, but I don't think you really need it. It comes in a nice little bag that's not too bulky, and it's not too heavy - I don't think it would be good for hiking with, but for us it suits perfectly. I think that it's very good value for money, as are most things from Decathlon (in my opinion).
Our beds arrived today and we were excited to try them out. I had read reviews that said they were hard to put together but the video shows a lady putting them together with ease so I thought we would try them and follow the instructions to a T. Putting the poles in is relatively easy but does need some force to get the final part in. The legs, however, are horrendously hard to get in. The first part is easy where you just twist it on but getting the other side to attach to the pole is so hard. It was impossible for me to do and I felt like my elbow would break before I could get the legs attached. My husband was able to do it but he had to really press down hard to get the legs to bend enough to attach. I do hope that with use they will get easier as he has 4 beds to construct every time we go camping! I am disappointed that I can not construct one by myself but do like the product when constructed. I am pleased with how comfortable they and could see myself using them as a sun lounger as well as a camp bed. I am looking forward to our self inflating air mats arrive to try them out on the bed as I think they should be a perfect combination together. I am going to keep the beds as finding ones that are 60cm wide is proving very difficult but if I find ones that are easy to construct and just as sturdy then I will be returning them.
It is quite difficult to put together and take apart compared to camp beds that you just pull apart but, it is much comfier than them beds especially as i will use these beds for 10 days when we camp and they are obviously so much better than air beds because you don't need to reinstall these after one night. You get the hang of putting the bed together when you've done it once but it does take some strength as it says on the instructions. For the price you pay for this bed it is so worth it!
Really good quality product but the tension on the textile is so great at first that my wife could never assemble it, and I really struggled. Feels like it loosened a bit over time but my wife still can't get it assembled on her own if this puts things in perspective. I wish there was a better system, but otherwise very solid and comfortable.
Clipping the legs on was really, really difficult. I couldn’t do it despite watching video many many times. Enlisted help 20 yr old son and together we failed to get legs into position. Returned for refund of money no questions asked.
Thank you for your time to write a review and provide your experience. Sorry to hear It was a struggle with the legs, it can be quite physically demanding for this particular model.
I have passed on your feedback to our Quechua Brand.
