I had bought it for backpacking but found it too heavy to carry but it will be fine for ordinary camping or as an emergency lamp at home. The strap allows it to be hung from something or you can just sit it on a surface. Nice and bright.

This is a bit tricky to open to insert the batteries as the outside is smooth with no indents. It lights up well, but we didn’t use it as much as we expected as we had fairy lights too.
Handy strap for carrying it around. Good bright light. 3 light settings available.

Good little light, perfect for camping
Great practical little light that lasts ages. Has 3 settings, bright and very bright. The 3rd setting is a nice red glow for maybe people or kids who don’t sleep well in the dark. Has a strap for hanging up in tent. Great Value for Money.
So take at least one of the batteries out when not in use. Bit of a nuisance
We have bought these to use when we are staying away with my Scouts. We tend to put these around the camp area and when the darkness descends, they are fantastic for ensuring the fun continues. We leave a few on hangers around the tents and to light the way to the toilets. The batteries last for ages and it works out cheaper and safer than using paraffin or petrol lanterns through the night (which we would never leave on through the night for obvious reasons). Excellent quality and great light output. The red illumination function is a great feature too.
Bright enough to read by at night and the red light function is great when toilet trips are needed in the middle of the night as it doesn't blind you.
I had already one (previous model) so i got a second one: very happy with the amount of light provided inside the tent.

This lantern is great and very functional. Press the button once for a red lowlight, twice for a medium white light, three times for a bright white light. Once you have set the brightness and left it for any amount of time a single button press will turn the lantern off completely. This is a welcome feature vs other lanterns which require you to cycle past the very brightest setting when you want it off usually blinding you right as you are trying to go to sleep. I purchased this with the 2 second 2 person tent and found it to be much to large for the tent. A smaller lantern would be more than enough for the space and easier to hang.

Operating modes
When your lamp has been on for more than 5 seconds, simply press the button to go directly to off mode.To turn the lamp back on and switch modes, press the same button again quickly.
Instructions for optimal lighting
If you hang your lamp up, coloured base at the top, you have 360° lighting for better group illumination.The red light ensures a softer, less aggressive and less dazzling light for your eyes. This mode is very convenient at night.
