Product description

Our camping designers have created this Arpenaz 0° sleeping bag for sleeping comfortably when camping in temperatures close to 0°C.

Snuggle in and get cosy. Here's our warmest sleeping bag: extra-thick with a comfy hood, it's designed for temps of 0° to -9°. For those nights when you want to huddle up, zip together two or more!

Description

Our camping designers have created this Arpenaz 0° sleeping bag for sleeping comfortably when camping in temperatures close to 0°C.

Twinning

To sleep two you must join 2 similar sleeping bags. Your sleeping bag is designed with a non-removable hood so one of the hoods can’t be used when you join two bags and you should turn it down to comfortable sleep two.

Use temperature

We display on all our sleeping bags the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to European standard ISO 23537-1 of 21/01/2017. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag accordingly.

What is the comfort limit temperature?

The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person curled up in the sleeping bag is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (determined for a man in normal conditions of use).

Composition

Outer fabric and lining: 100% polyester. Wadding: 100 % polyester 350 g/sqm wadding.

What you need to know about temperatures

A sleeping bag does not produce heat, but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, it is very likely that you will feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (body type, fatigue, etc.), equipment (mattress with insulation, etc.), clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).

Tips before getting into your bag

Dress simply (one layer of clothing is enough). Warm-up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand-warmers, padding, etc. A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there's no risk of accidental opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is transformed into heat). However you should do this without moving as this can cause draughts of cold air. To wash your sleeping bag less often, we recommend you use a sleeping bag liner.

Washing your sleeping bag

We recommend you use a washing machine with a minimum 8 kg capacity and close the zips on your sleeping bag.

Warranty

This sleeping bag is guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of sale indicated on the receipt. A product covered by warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects excluding any resulting from normal wear and tear and those resulting from abnormal use. This special 5-year warranty is only valid with the product and sales receipt.
