Desert Trekking Cap UV-Protection Desert 900 - Brown

I bought this hat on a last minute whim, having seen a video of climbers covering heads & faces on the approach to Aconcagua. I wore it on the 26km walk in through hot & dusty conditions and in 35 degrees heat. Then again for all the climbs up to camps, until the temperatures dropped. Same again on the 26km walk back out, again in incredibly hot & dusty conditions. The cap can be used in about 5 different permutations, so is extremely flexible depending on conditions & needs. My expedition mates were extremely jealous as they tried to balance caps, buffs and tops to reliably protect themselves from the sun. At our post expedition dinner this cheap & simple item was unanimously voted best piece of kit - over & above all the fancy/expensive stuff you need for a climb of that scale

Wish I'd had this cap this summer, bought it at the end of the season so haven't had chance to try it yet. It's made of light, cool material and can be worn open or closed. Easily adjustable for size but the peak might be a little long for visibility while working.

This hat is one size fits all? The flaps don’t even have enough room to connect. If you have a regular head and not a extra small this is worthless. Don’t understand having a hat run small then big. Completely defeats the purpose. Poor product.
