I use the cushion to strengthen my ankle that I broke 5 months ago.
Apart from arriving very flat it seems okay. The two different textures should be useful.
You can use this at anytime of the day for a minute or two strengthening the knee exercises which is what I bought it for
Bought this to exercise my feet - have arthritis in both - and it seems to work well.
Bought to help rehab after knee operation. Spot on for helping exercise without weight-bearing. Highly recommended.

I was intimidated by a normal balance board. But I need to do balance exercises to help with my ADHD as well as my kickboxing training. I was able to try this in the store and it felt good. It was also really well prices. It's great for learning to use balance tools. It was a little hard to get grip at first, but once I tried it with my Converse sneakers on, it was easier. Hopefully I'll eventually graduate to barefoot, and then later upgrade to a normal balance board. I like how well it grips to the floor. No chance of slipping on my tiles!

I got this product to help with my balance as my balance is pretty poor and thats putting it lighting, and it is helping a lot
I purchased 2 of these to practice weight transfer in the golf swing after seeing them used @ Zen Golf on Youtube. They work very well for this purpose.

How do you adjust your balance cushion?
First, it is important that you don't feel the ground when you sit on your cushion. If you can feel the ground, inflate the cushion using a pump with a needle (sold separately - reference: 8369006).The air pressure inside the cushion is what determines the instability level. The more your disc is inflated, the less you'll work your balance; the less it is inflated, the more you'll work your balance.
What is proprioception?
Proprioception is your ability to perceive where your body is in space, whether consciously or not. It uses numerous receptors that tell your brain what position your various body parts are in. It affects your balance and reflexes. The good news is that you can improve your mobility by regularly doing exercises!
