Excellent mat for the price

I love this mat, it's way easier to carry than my previous self-inflating one but also a lot more comfortable - it packs up so small that can fit into a bike bottle holder, great for bikepacking. The silicone grips do a good job so I've never woken up feeling like I was falling off (despite moving a lot in my sleep). I've used it on several camping trips in the south of England from spring to autumn with no issues, but I don't think it has the insulating properties of some (much more expensive) mats so for colder weather camping I'd probably pair it with a foam mat underneath. Overall excellent purchase, my partner ended up buying the same and no complaints from either of us.

Leak after 7 nights

I went on a motorcycle tour around Scotland in April, on the 8th night the mattress developed a leak and left me on the ground. I was pleased that decathlon refunded my money after checking the product.

camp mat

This is a good mattress and is easy to inflate and deflate, it goes easily into its bag which some don't. Not sure if it stops the cold coming up from the ground as well as more expensive types but this just could be my sleeping bag or not as recently I was still cold in my bag and on this mat. Great product overall though.

Bad Quality grips

The silicone came off after about 6 weeks of use. Disappointed because without the grips it's like a pool float. The yellow colour also becomes very dirty, yeah I know it's camping but the material is not easily cleaned and the muck shows easily. Would not recommend to a friend.

Great product

I bought it to go bike packing....really lightweight and small. I was worried this would compromise performance but it was really comfortable and warm on a cold night. It felt a lot sturdier than it seems when rolled up. Really pleased with it so far.

A decent one

It's very thin! Make sure you inflate it properly, because it's not too much between you and the ground. But when it's done correctly, it's massive enough. Recommend it for warmer weathers only, or to have proper sleeping system with it. Very lightweight, very packable. Only backfire that it's definitely not wide enough to fit your body and arms too on it. But it gives a good comfortable sleep when you need, unless you are in a constant roll during sleep, then you end up on the ground.

Comfortable

Really happy with the inflatable mattress.

Best Sleep

Researched a lot for an inflatable mattress, was going to spend around £100 but decided to give this a go and couldn't be happier. Small and light was a must. Although only used twice, really liked the size and how great a sleep I had. Easy to use and bright yellow is quite uplifting too.

Good item

I used this mattress in autumn on a cold-ish and wet night. It was comfortable, warm enough and easy to use with the valve system that it has. It packs down really well and doesn't take up alot of space in my pack. The price point is really good too at £35.00 I believe this a really fair price. The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 is because it is yellow and for my use I do not like bright colours.

Excellent for cycle touring

Purchased this to sleep on for my first camping cycletour. Light & small to pack into pannier, comfortable to sleep on and warmer due to good separation from floor. Quick and easy to inflate with your mouth (couple of mins).

Lightweight, easy to inflate and deflate.

Great value for money, I have been using this on average about once a month for the past 18 months and had zero issues. I do a lot of wildcamping and this has always been placed inside a bivy bag which adds as an extra layer of protection, I would never use an inflatable mat straight on the ground. It is very easy to deflate and pack away which is a nice change to the self inflating mats, although it is a bit of a squeeze getting it back in the original stuff sack so I usually pack it without. I must say I am a side sleeper, the mat is pretty comfortable and certainly thick enough but I can still get a bit trouble with my shoulder. Overall this is very good value for money!

Love This

ideal bike packing mattress.light and easily stored

Very easy to tear. extremely bad quality

i bought this matress 2 half months ago right before my summer vacations. after about 25 nights of sleeping on it it started to lose its air totally. I was certain it was a factory fault so i went to decathlon shop that i bought it and asked for replacement. after two days they told me it is not problematic and i missused it because they found it had some scratches on it. i can not deny that i caused the scratches, but i can certainly say that the matress never went out of the tent and i was keeping my tent preety clean and the surface that the tent was on, was fine sand, so the only explanation is that the matress is really cheaply made, but not cheaply sold(40 euros in greece) the employ told me it is possible the scratch was made by my clothes or something. i was a really happy decathlon customer but after this bad experience i will reconsider, especially with camping gear.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to review tour Trek 700 Air L Trekking Mattress, I'm sorry to hear you had a negative experience with this product. We are constantly trying to develop and improve our products and we will pass on your experience and feedback regarding the toughness of the material to the product developers. I understand the frustration with having an air mattress deflate. As a trekking product one of the main characteristics we aim for is durability, so we will definitely look into ways to make this product stronger whilst retaining it's lightweight and compact nature at a reasonable price.

Regards

Excellent product

Bought this for lightweight fast packing on a budget. Really comfy, 30 seconds to inflate and packs away back into stuff sack. Probably wouldn’t want to use it for family camping trips, as like everything it’s always a trade off, comfort vs weight. Really impressed.

Surprisingly comfortable

I really like this air bed. Its tiny and remarkably comfortable for its size. The reason for dropping a star is that its a blighter to get it deflated and back in the little bag. There must be a technique but Im struggling with it. Having said that I would unhesitatingly buy another of these.

Additional Product informations

Composition

Main fabric

  • 43% Polyester
  • 57% Thermoplastic Polyurethane

Carry bag

  • 100% Polyester

Volume and folded size

Folded dimensions Ø 10 cm x 22 cm.Volume: 1,7 litres.Weights, volumes & dimensions may vary slightly due to production tolerances.

Easy inflation/deflation

The simplest way to fold without damaging your mattress is to fold it in four widthways, then roll it up.

What is the r-value?

The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress. Please note that the R-Values can be added; this means that you can use two mattresses and add their R-Values.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.

What r-value for what use?

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) onlyR-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3-season (spring-summer-autumn)R-value from 3 to 4: 4-seasonR-value of 4.5 and higher: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitudes)

Tips for sleeping well on your mattress

Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.

Additional sustainable development information

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only mass pigmentation on one yarn out of every two for the grey fabric on the back of the mattress, thus reducing our consumption and our impact on water. This process can reduce CO2 emissions by 8% compared to traditional dyeing methods.

How to repair a leaky mattress

An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof but it can be repaired! When using it, take every care when installing and handling it.In the event of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8584596).For more information, copy the following link into your browser:https://www.forclaz.co.uk
