Aquaresist technology
Products with AQUARESIST certification are guaranteed to deliver chlorine resistance throughout their lifespan. They will maintain their elasticity and are UV resistant. For these reasons they are recommended for regular or intensive pool use.
Material
Main fabric: 100% polyester. Our engineers have developed a polyester-based fabric and replaced the elastane fibre with PBT fibre, which is stretchy enough to provide user comfort but, more importantly, is unaffected by chlorine. This PBT thread also has the advantage of being quick drying. It only loses 3 to 4% resistance throughout its lifespan. Another plus: even the brightest of colours will retain their colour fastness

I love decathlon products and rate them highly. but not their swimsuits. my eldest needed a new one a few years ago. I visited twice as each swimsuit was just too small. she's of average if not a touch shorter than her peers and slim. when she was 8, she couldn't fit in a 12 year old swimsuit. now my youngest is nearly 9 akdni thought I'd try again. got a ten year old swimsuit for her. she can't get it past her biceps. again, not overweight or taller than her peers. I have no idea what's up with their swimsuits, but as they say, once bitten, fourth shy..!!
Bought a size up as suggested for my slim average height 9yo and it was very snug. The material is not stretchy like you would expect of a swimming costume. Will try again with the age 11 size.
