RDS ethical down with a fill power of 800 CUIN. Jacket hem tightening.
Easily folds away into its left-hand pocket using a zip with double puller
Surface-treated outer fabric to prevent water from getting in
This gilet weighs approximately 220 g in size L.35 g/m2 fabric; 15 Denier
Really light weight item. Very warm over a fleece mid layer. Useful zipped pockets take a big wallet and XL sized phone with ease. Folds down to a tiny pack size when the weather warms up.
Bought size medium and size large for my husband, he was a little disappointed that the large was the better fit; but to be fair he is probably somewhere between the two sizes. This is similar quality to another lightweight gilet I looked at which was double the price. It’s been worn almost every day since Christmas so a great success. I was able to return the other size by post even though I bought in store, very quick and easy process once I’d emailed customer services.
Nice puffer vest to layering in this cold weather
I would not usually waste time providing a review but feel compelled to share that this garment is excellent in quality and fit so represents unbelievable value. You can buy this and the jacket version for less than what you would pay for one down jacket alone from the most competitive brands yet it is 100 per cent comparable to them. Also impressive is that it is Responsible Down Certified. Extremely chuffed with it and want to wear it all the time. Btw, I am a slim 5"10 with a 30 inch waist and medium sizes as snugly as if it were fitted (so if you're prone to adding a few pounds over winter you may wish to size up).
I’m 6ft 4, slim and ordered Large. Top quality gilet, comparable with some high end brands in fact. Lengthwise it’s acceptable. Not too short but would have enjoyed another inch or so for complete satisfaction. Chest is to size, but the material (navy) is quite shiny. Doesn’t bother me too much but it didn’t look like that in picture do loses a star.
I was ready to spend the money on a RAB until I watched a review on youtube, they compared this to a Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer which is considered the Number 1 ...both this one and the Whisperer dont have a breast pocket or any internal pockets which is why I didnt give it a 5*, the warmth fit and quality are very good for the price. this was my first time ordering from these people and the service and speed was 5* .. I will shop here again ... NB: im normally a xl but ordered a xxl .... perhaps I am getting bigger :(
This is a good gilet, especially considering the price, but the size is on the small size. A tight fit helps the heat stay close to the body.
Warm. Fits great and dual purpose, sport/ walking and casual.
Really pleased with this. Sensible pockets and fit, I'm slim but sized up to XL (L in other brands), didn't need to in the end. It's a good length where other gilets are quite short. Warm for the weight and robust fabric, I've worn it climbing under my harness. Only downside - the material is a bit shiny but appears matte in the images... not the end of the world but I prefer matte.
Very reasonably priced its that light weight you don't even feel you've got it on. And is very good when the Chill is in the air.
smallish on the fit, and the zip feels cheap and catches on the internal baffle easily - so go a size bigger than you normally wear - but comfortable and warm
I bought this as I needed something that would keep me warm during walks and singletrack cycling, but was not too bulky or interfered with my riding and it is perfect. Warm and easy to use...just waiting for winter to see if it is usable, but if not can be easily stored away until spring.
Got two and love them - orange and black just wish you would do nicer colours for women
Bought this to keep the chill out when playing golf on dry chilly days. Haven't used it for the golf but have worn it out and about as casual wear. So far so good. Very lightweight, so warmth to weight is v.good. I like the close-fitting nature of these things. Suits a slimmer frame. I'm a 40" chest and Large size fits perfectly. Nice deep pockets and a draw-string waist is a good addition. Stuffs down to a small pack. Would I buy another...yes. For the price they're brilliant !
What a marvelous and comfortable product, ideal for indian weather as in afternoon it gets hot but you can still wear it and its tested till 5 degrees on issue at all.

A gilet helps to keep the body warm: it protects the chest, neck and kidneys from the cold, as these areas are especially sensitive to chills. It is sleeveless so it saves weight in your backpack, provides even more breathability during exercise and excellent comfort of movement when worn under a jacket.Worn underneath the TREK 100 down jacket, it can provide 6°C extra warmth when compared to a down jacket worn without the gilet.
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports:- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack- Ultra-compressible
The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches).Down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this sleeveless down gilet, with its 85% down/15% feather filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (European standard).
Thanks to our traceability system, we can guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from ducks raised for their meat and plucked after slaughter. We have been awarded RDS certification (Responsible Down Standard) by a third-party organisation.http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/

The material of this gilet is water-repellent. It lets drops of water roll off the fabric, delaying water getting in the gilet and giving you time to find shelter. However, the gilet is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the gilet in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it.As a result, the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use.We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
Follow the guide:https://www.quechua.fr/conseils/comment-reactiver-la-deperlance-de-sa-veste-a_86425We recommend that you use the wash-in care producthttps://www.decathlon.fr/eco-wash-in-proof-250-ml-id_8408883.htmlIt restores the water-repellent properties of the fabric and optimises the performance of your garment throughout its lifetime.
