    Description

You can wear this versatile jacket for all of your outings whatever the weather thanks to its synthetic fibre insulation, soft collar and ventilation.

Practical and comprehensive accessories for all your outings.

    - 2 hand pockets - 1 inside chest pocket - 1 inside mesh pocket - 1 ski pass pocket - 1 goggle wipe - Automatic snow skirt - Adjustable cuffs - Adjustable hood

Good waterproofing (10,000 mm Schmerber), tested in real-life conditions.

The waterproof component and the assembly prevent water getting in. The seams are waterproof, and the zips are also waterproof and under a protective flap. This jacket has been tested in a special shower that reproduces the conditions of the ski resorts, and in the field for several days in different weather conditions.

Water repellent jacket, like all Quechua jackets.

A fabric's water-repellent property is its ability to let water slide off its surface without soaking in. The fabric doesn’t soak up water and so remains lightweight, breathable and warm. It is made from a treatment on the outside of the fabric, which must be renewed (every 3 washes).

A jacket that provides just the right amount of warmth for a day on the slopes.

In addition to the jacket's padding, the waterproof zips, snow skirt, collar, adjustable hood and adjustable cuffs provide extra insulation from the cold.

A breathable jacket to evacuate heat during periods of exertion.

The RET, or the evaporative resistance of the material (ISO 11092 standard), is 11. The lower this rating, the more water vapour generated by the body evaporates. RET < 9 = extremely breathable 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable 12 < RET < 20 = breathable RET > 20 = little or no breathability.

The 500 jacket is designed with a membrane component.

This is a very thin polyurethane film that makes the material waterproof while remaining breathable. More flexible, lightweight, resistant and often more breathable than coating, which is less expensive and requires a protective lining, similar to paint applied to the inside of the fabric.

    This product is repairable.

For the two years of guarantee, if your product can be repaired, the repairs (hooks, seams, zips, etc.) are done free of charge. Beyond this period, they can still be done for a fee, locally at your usual shop.

    Weight.

Between 0.9 kg for the S and 1.15 kg for the 2XL. 1.02 kg in size L.

How should you dress under your ski jacket?

When skiing, we talk about the three-layer rule: A first thermal layer (ski base layer), a second layer (fleece or down jacket) and a third layer, your jacket. Adapt the second layer to suit the conditions, or take along a bag so you can take it off during the day.

How to restore the jacket's water-repellent properties?

The water-repellency of your jacket must be regularly reactivated (every three washes): over time, even if it remains waterproof thanks to its material, the jacket seems to start absorbing water. To do this, use a reactivating spray or a treatment reapplication product, and follow the tutorial in the customer service section of our website.

Wash and/or dry your ski/snowboard jacket: following a specific protocol, you can improve its lifespan.

Close the zips, loosen the ties and read the instructions on the label. Use a tumble dryer set to a synthetic cycle to restore the fibres. If you don't have a tumble dryer, you can find tutorials on our YouTube channel or our after-sales website.

How should I wash my jacket?

    * Close all the zips on the jacket * Turn it inside out * Machine wash at 30°, delicate programme with little detergent & without fabric softener. IMPORTANT: set to a very gentle spin cycle (less than 800rpm): spinning too fast may create lumps that are difficult to remove

    How to dry my jacket?

Dry in a tumble dryer (strongly recommended) * Use a gentle or delicate programme. * Dry on several long cycles to dry completely. * If you do not have a tumble dryer, it will take longer to dry. (drying can take 1 to 2 weeks on a dry and flat place). Make sure you pat the jacket to avoid any lumps
