First off, I am not the usual London Biker, full gear, pretend to be pro, riding like an angry person beeping at everyone on the street. I am just trying to get from one place to another and enjoying the journey. Anyhow, I purchased this bike after doing a bit of research on folding bike, I generally do not like the idea of the fullsize bike because I have short legs, most of the full size bike are heavy and does not allow sudden stop for my short legs unless you tilt the bike ( meaning stop using my feet). This bike offer range of adjustment which enables me to touch the ground and stop quickly, it's one of the most affordable folding option. Yet, even when it is unfold, it isn't heavy for me to carry up and down the stairs commuting with the train. In addition, it also fold easily into the car. I purchased it in the store. The boys that helped me with my purchase was next level kind and caring. They tuned my bike, shown me how it was supposed to fold, making sure all things works before I left the store. I am very happy with my purchase.
It's so light, and easy to put together..for someone who doesn't cycle too much, this is a gem of a find.. extremely great value for money and a light yet sturdy bike. I definitely recommend this to all who want to go cycling..
I brought Oxylane Tilt 120 folding bike and using it for more than a month. I found no troubles hence its gear mechanism is smooth and trouble-free.
I wanted this for commute to work and also to keep it folded in my car. But realized that with the wheels being small they are not helpful when it comes for 4 - 5 mile biking. So i am returning but if you are looking for short city commute do not hesitate to buy. Fantastic folding function,
After purchasing the sensible city commuter; 920e, in the previous week [the review can be found here: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/elops-920-low-frame-electric-city-bike/_/R-p-300604?mc=8405261&c=WHITE], we felt that decathlon is a brand we can now trust. We decided to buy our growing 10 year old her first adult bicycle - no sense in buying another children’s bike, after we have chosen Decathlon. All said, both purchases and ALL staff are solid! So, it was mutually decided the Tilt (120) folding bike would be the way forward for this emerging double-digit touchy dynamite. Our ten year old loves it: no need to worry about negotiating between two lots of gear leavers on each side of the handle bars, as this bike has just one twisting motion throttle: to shift back-and-forth between the seven gears. It is our family practice to be objective, as much as possible. The only downside for me, as an adventurous adult is that one can quickly get it up to full speed and thereafter feel it could do with another two gears at least; although this has not been an issue for the 10 year old, thus far! Another issue, and I am pulling for scrapes, is Decathlon does not currently have an old bike trade-in scheme, so we are left with the previous (in my opinion… unwanted) child’s bike, from the forbidden, more expensive, less customer friendly rival, for now. Back to the positives, it can fold!! we have plans on taking it on the bus and train at some point. We have no complaints except an on-going question - how does Decathlon provide all this bike for just two-fifty? Or are Bromptxx simply over changing the consumer? Lastly, a grandiose thank you to Paul at Poole Decathlon for being patient with us, getting the bike prepared and checked-over in two days. There's so far, nothing wrong with this bike purchase and I would recommend it for anyone that wants to ride ‘fairly' and be able to take it on public transport at some point. Happy ‘folding’ haha! Crank was warped out of all proportion and the bike cannot be ridden. Customer service is good and prompt, but I'm very disappointed. No exchange available, just refund and re-buy. Seems others have issues with the crank, reading the reviews on here. Not sure I'd buy another one based on what I received and those other reviews. It was so visibly distorted I wonder how this got past a quality inspection or if there even is one.
Easy going bike, well worth the £250. Points to note: the front light is not on the frame/headlight style - but you can buy it seperatley. a small efficeint light is supplied that wraps around on the handle bar, similarly sized and placed to the bell but on the right hand side. The kick stand is included for when in use / unfolded, as is a stand included for when the bike is folded and upright.
This bike made my days. Really appreciated with my purchase.
Not had the chance to ride it yet .. but so far meets my expectations
I travelled to Bolton (40 miles each way) very excited to pick up my new bike. When I got home and tested the bike, the chain kept coming off. I called the store and they arranged for me to go to the Leeds store to get it checked. After trying to fix the issue and comparing with a bike they had in store, they found they both had the same problem. They concluded there was a design flaw with this batch. Although disappointed, I can’t fault the customer service. I was offered a full refund and the staff were lovely. I’ve ordered the Btwin 500 and I’m hoping it’ll be better.
Very disappointed in the foldable bike, I was very excited when I got it but one day of riding it my brakes broke. Very poor quality and I will be getting a refund because I know I will be having many more issues with this bike.
Purchased almost a year ago and used pretty much every day, it was the best buy. It's sturdy, comfortable, easy to fold and store. I would recommend changing the tyres as the original ones had punctures just after a couple of weeks on the road. But apart from that absolutely no complaints. Would recommend it to anyone who's looking for folding bike at reasonable cost.
Bought 2 of these bikes for myself and hubby. They’re great! Fold up and fit in the boot of the car with very little effort. We hadn’t ridden bikes for a couple of decades and have rediscovered the joy of cycling again. Our grandchildren are fascinated with the fact that the bikes fold up and are amazed that their grandparents can actually ride a bike and are thrilled that we can ride along side them - We’ve had great fun over the past few weeks and are looking forward to continuing to do so.
As the owner of a smart car a fold up bike was still going to be a challenge! This fits in my boot! Easy to set up sturdy enough to cycle the Downslink!! Highly recommend!!
Mainly used by my wife, although I use it occasionally as well. The single 6-speed rear derailleur gives some flexibility of gear ratio, although this can't quite climb steep hills (even on first) or zip along on flat ground on top gear. Also has a tendency to skip the last gear when ridden at speed (probably due to the short chain length/frame), limiting the range on flat ground. My wife is permanently scared of the chain coming off the last gear, so she only uses the bottom 5. Still, not bad for an urban commute. The longest journey my wife has managed on this is 30km, and it's comfortable but slow. Have recommended it to my friends as well, who are eager to buy it after they've tried mine, but this model seems to be facing availability issues at the moment.
