Wider footed child says these are sturdy, comfortable and warm. Not yet confirmed waterproofness. She preferred these over any of the women’s options offered.
+ve: Good value, lightweight, good ankle support reasonably comfortable, -ve: Not enough toe wiggle room so can pinch a little in thick socks on a long walk.
Tongue was to short so when laced up would rub into your skin poor show
Good value boots
These are very comfortable boots. I have walked many miles and not had any issues.
Wore these boots for a 12 mile walk on a mix of asphalt and mud paths and they were very comfortable.
It was comfortable, looks good, waterproof, but the grip on the snow is not good.
Just had an opportunity to test those boots and I must say I'm very positively surprised. Had a 4-5 h hill climbing in ankle high snow. the shoes stayed dry through all that time, they are very warm and comfortable as well. Would recommend those to everyone great product for a great price
Very suprised and delighted with these boots. I usualy like to try boots on in the shop, but given current times. I ordeered a pair of cheaper, but highest recommended boots so i wouldnt be too disspointed. But these are fantastic! |Arrived in 1 working day (size UK 12!). Walked for 6 hours in these boots over the last 3 days and they are really good, warm, durable, and very very comfortable. Delighted with these boots, hightly reccommended.
Nice boot but comes up small. Size 9 was more like an 8 and I can’t walk more than 10 minutes before my toes hurt
have had the chance now to try the boots out in a few different terrains and conditions except in a really good downpour, they are very comfortable pretty light and warm they have kept my feet bone dry in the mournes recently where i walked in some streams, my feet sunk down into the Soddened ground, were covered in snow so you would think great and yes until you come to slippy boulders in a stream and compact ice were the story changes, you literally have no grip whats so ever, my decent of slieve donard really caused me some concern! lucky enough i got down injury free. so if you are planning a walk with these conditions get yourself some clamp on spikes or some proven shoes/boots than are known to be good in these conditions, for everything else i think they are a great wee pair of boots
Worn these boots every day for the last month to walk the dog in wet & very muddy conditions & they have been comfortable & dry but the tongue is too short & difficult to keep the laces on the very top eyes over the tongue. Why so short?
Having worn out my previous boots from Decathlon it was my first port of call for a replacement pair and, having tried several types, I settled on the Trek 100. I'm not a "hardcore" walker (bad knees), but regularly do 5-10 miles on varying terrain and I've found them comfortable with plenty of ankle support, with good grips for muddy conditions and completely waterproof. A very good buy for the price.
very warm and water proof
By far the best boot for walking I have owned

This model has been validated for 8,000 flexes, equivalent to a 16 km walk, in water reaching the mid-upper.
Footwear waterproofing test: tested in the laboratory and genuine usage conditions, equipped with waterproof and breathable layer, to offer excellent protection from the rain. Our Field Test Missions team up the product manager with people who aren't affiliated with QUECHUA, to test, improve, and validate our products. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (about a 4 km walk), 4000 flexes (about an 8 km walk) and 8000 flexes (about a 16 km walk). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: - tearing of the eyelets and straps- bonding of the sole- toxicology- UV resistance- abrasion of the sole and components of the upper- accelerated ageing.
Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.
