Backpack technical tests.

We carry out lab tests to validate all elements:fabric, buckles, straps, foam & zips. For example, for fabric:resistance to abrasion & tearing, colour-fastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc. Then, a test is conducted on the finished product replicating the accelerated demands on the backpack over a number of years to check the strength of the assembliesthe backpack is weighted, then placed on a dummy which reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles

How is backpack volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty the balls into a graduated container which gives us the equivalent number of litres.

Great Value Duffle

Just as good as my daughter's brand name equivalent (TNF), but at a fraction of the price!

Best carry on bag ever!

I’ve owned the original version of this bag with the orange quecha on the side for over 2 years now. It’s been my carry on bag for flying since I got it (at least 8 trips), my festival bag (4), and I’ve taken it car camping for over 2 weeks at a time twice so this thing has been through the ringer yet somehow still looks practically new...apart from a little festival glitter here and there. My bad. The detachable backpack straps are super handy but not the most comfortable after prolonged carrying so if you are looking for an actual backpacking bag get something else. But having the straps means I can run though the airport with my hands free and basically prance about any city with no worries. Also love that the zip to get into the bag is flat against my back in backpack mode so there’s no chance of anything getting stolen. When storing the bag folds down fairly small and neatly. Cannot fault the price point for this bag at all. If you’re looking for an all rounder that will stand the test of time, I’d totally recommend this one!

It's a good bag.

I bought this as a sports bag for hockey kit as my son has a big bag of this style and it looks waterproof. (A lot of sports bags are made from very thin weak looking fabric.) This bag has thick material and strong wide webbing handles and reinforcement. It's the right size, easily holding hockey shoes, shin guards and change of clothes. Access to the contents is good having a large opening (and not a single linear zip). 3 inside zipping mesh pockets so things can be kept accessible, a large one inside the top flap and one each end. I took off the shoulder straps as only using it as a sports bag and have put them in the outer pocket. They would be good if using the bag as luggage when travelling. The buckles for attaching them to the bag do get in the way of the zip a bit, probably as the bag is not full of things. If I end up using it as a sports bag only I might cut them off. The double zip has big teeth with big pulls which move easily and a contrasting string to see where they are under the zip covering flap. The holdall handles are quite long, usually requiring a bit of untwisting when picking up the bag. Not a big problem, It still works if they're twisted. The end handles are good also. If you need an outdoor sports bag add this to your basket now, while they still make them!
