Really useful and versatile bag. Hardwearing and easily adjustible to different sizes ans methods of carrying
Gifted this to my military son 2 years ago as he needed a large bag for off duty jaunts + transporting extra kit between deployments. He has used this bag ever since, almost weekly, as a handy extra gear bag for overseas and UK based work + r&r. Zips and straps still in great nick after almost 2 years constant use, holds a heck of amount of gear, and doesn't take up too much space when not in use.
Needed the bag so my daughter could go scouting for a week. It was fantastic in size and quality. Even managed to put in the sleeping bag and provisions. The straps made it very easy to carry. Highly recommended.
Well made plenty of room to get a large amount in the bag
Huge yet tough
Good holdall. Ideal as it is top packing so easy access if you are staying in places for 1 or 2 nights and dont want to unpack everything, but not as comfortable to carry full as a traditional trekking rucksack. Would be good to have all 4 colour options for both sizes.
Excellent bag. Plenty of space and very well made
Been using this bag for work and so far so good. Holds enough kit for a four day shift without extending. At 80l it is comfortable enough to carry on your back ( this is not a replacement for a rucsac and should not be considered so ) reasonable distances. Although not advertised as a dry bag I have had no issues with any water ingress. Great price for what you get. Works for me and would recommend it it your looking for a base camp holdall at reasonable cost. Happy with my purchase.
Looks great, yet to use it
I needed to replace my sailing bag and looked at quite a few options, not just from Decathlon. This bag offers flexible capacity, it is really comfortable on your back and seems well made. That it is made of polyester instead of PVC is an added bonus. My one doubt (as yet untested) is whether the permanently attached shoulder straps will cause issues when the bag goes in an aircraft hold.
on full extension it has packed 23kg of life into it for a journey to NZ. handles were very useful as it has no wheels. Good to then shrink it down for other journeys.
Lovely bit of kit. Robust too. Waterproof so far. Plenty big enough for carrying a week of kit. Great idea to extend from 80 to 120 litres.
I liked the bag. My son took this for his 10 day scouts expedition to Alps. We found it very spacious with its 80 L capacity. On the way back, it was expanded to 120L capacity as my son was not bothered to keep things back as they were packed. But still there was tons of space left. So i would recommend it. Overall the bag is good however, i would have loved to see some improvements in the bag design. 1. The straps should go across the zip. At the moment the straps are on the two sides of the bag. So, if the bag is full then the whole pressure will be on the Zips an it is not a great thing. 2. There should be some kind of hard base for the bag. At the moment, there is no hard base for the bag and so the bag seems more like a rucksack. I believe, this bag should double up as a holdall.
This was an excellent choice. Sturdy and light. It carries a lot of gear. It’s great that it is expandabale
Wow, what an amazing bag. Holds so much, especially when opened right up The backpack shoulder straps are very comfortable. Would have liked hip strap to help support the weight. So many handles, each end, top and side so really easy to carry. Bought one to see what it was like and then bought another to go on safari. Bought lots of packing travel cubes to keep clothes neat and tidy and they fit in really well.

We carry out laboratory tests to validate every component: fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zips. For example, for fabric: resistance to abrasion and tearing, colour-fastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc. Then, a test that replicates several years of use of the backpack is conducted to check the strength of the assemblies: the backpack is filled with weights and placed on a mannequin that replicates thousands of fast walking movements
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
