Merrell walking shoes

After trying a different pair of Merrell that have had a design change and have a higher ankle line it was great to go back to a pair of tried and tested comfy walking shoes that give my feet plenty of support and still feel like I’m wearing slippers!

Beautiful fit

Top walking shoes because they are wide don't poke your toes from anywhere. Previously tried karrimor (weird sizing) regatta (gave me the worst blisters of my life). Downside is they could do with being a bit more padded but this can be compensated by some good socks.

Good lightweight tracking shoes.

Very comfy and nice pair of shoes. Merrell never dissapoints me.

Pennine Way

I walked the whole Pennine Way in these shoes in June/July. They were perfect for my wide size 4 feet and have excellent grip. The ground was mostly dry because of exceptional weather. The soles are now worn out! I'm getting another pair.

Terrible shoes

Please read the reviews on these shoes or buy blister plasters. I have had lots of trail shoes in this brand and these are the worst woren for less than a month and skin off heel!! These shoes are also wide more like a male shoe. Hope this helps my pair are for the bin

feels good at first

They were very comfortable at the shop, but after wearing them on a few short walks they are not as good as I expected. I get blisters on the outside of my heels, and also the ball of my feet become extremely sore as the shoes are not padded enough. I'll have to try them with different insoles, which is a shame because they have good arch support by default.

Not pink

Very comfy, accurate size, but colour not as described. They are grey and orangey red, definitely not pink.

Not what I hoped for

I bought these shoes for a long sponsored walk of 90km that I have coming up. I wore them for a quick walk one Fay and they seemed comfy and I was impressed by the width across the front of my feet as I have quite wide feet. However, a few days later I did a big walk of 24 miles and ended up with horrendous blisters in the same place on both feet (the outer edge of my heel). Now I can feel why as there is a hard part inside both shoes exactly where they blistered my feet. I’m very dubious now as to whether they are going to be any good for long distance walking which means money down the drain! I plan to try moleskin inside of the shoes to see if that helps and buy better socks but ultimately this seems like a bad design and one that I’m unlikely to get over easily. Disappointed to say the least.

Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn

I've never bought these types of shoes before, I usually just wear your typical trainers, this was my first time buying a pair like these (and also the first product I buy from Decathlon) and they're honestly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn in my life! The thing that surprises me the most is that the first time I wore them I went out in them for the whole day and I didn't even feel the slightest hint of a blister which is always the case when I first wear new shoes. My feet felt amazing afterwards, cannot praise these shoes enough!

Merrell walking shoes

Found these walking shoes extremely comfortable, lightweight and fit well. Great style and look.

I could walk for hours

I suffer from plantar fasciitis however I can walk for hours wearing these and I don't feel any pain and look forward to go hiking again. These are definitely the most comfortable shoes I've own.

I cannot say enough about these. I purchased them in the Prague Decathlon for a trip to Glastonbury UK and lots of hiking and was not disappointed. I wear a size US 9 and European 40. I purchased them in a 41 and was nervous going a whole size up as they don't have half sizes. I also have flat feet that tend to tilt inward with no arch support. These boots let me trek back and forth to town and up and down the Tor. My toes didn't jam my feet had plenty of room to spread and the arch support was fantastic. I hiked in the rain and they went through mud. My feet felt FANTASTIC at the end of the day. Of course they are vented so I don't recommend sloshing through puddles, just go around them. I love these shoes!!

Money back

I took these merrel hiking shoes back today. Less than six months old, once a week long walk (6ish miles) plus other smaller walks, lining has hole in the heel and other thinning. Had to fight for a refund at decathlon. Apparently they are not designed 'to be walked to that extent'. Not a good shoe. Avoid.
