When dropped in water, the salt bobbin dissolves instantly, releasing the firing pin that then pierces the cylinder of compressed CO₂. This allows the bladder to inflate in only a few seconds. When inflating, the bladder opens the life jacket's zip.To re-arm the life jacket:- deflate it using the back of the pipette cap.- fold in the bladder and zip up the textile cover.Change the cartridge and the salt bobbin following the instructions from the re-arming kit

Follow the order of installation instructions carefully:1. Replacing the salt bobbin2. Replacing the CO₂ cylinderIf you do not follow this order of installation, there is a risk of piercing the new cylinder if the salt bobbin inflation system has already been used.

WARNING:The dates present on the CO₂ cartridge and the salt bobbin have different meanings:salt bobbin = expiry date. The bobbin must be replaced when this date is exceededCO₂ cartridge = date of manufacture. The cartridge must be replaced 5 years after this date.
