Sun protection

Our Fresh&Black technology relies on a UPF 50+ sun protection fabric.Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.

Ventilation

The ventilated flysheet on the living area airs the room and reduces condensation inside your tent. Outside each bedroom is a high ventilation hatch. Inside each bedroom is a large, low ventilation hatch. The living room comes with a mosquito net and the bedrooms with high mosquito nets.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.Well pitched with the guy ropes properly anchored, this tent remains habitable in a force 7 wind, measured at 60 km/h.Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 Psi).

Waterproofing

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. Poles and tent pegs

Inflatable poles - All our inflatable poles have a two-layer arch structure: a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) air chamber and a 600-denier polyester cover*.Living room reinforcement - There's an aluminium bar in the living room to stiffen the structure.Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.4 ground pegs are included.*600 denier indicates a weight of 600 g for 9 m length.

Could of done with another set of guide ropes set higher as the tent doesn't fair well I winds

Bad design

Bought this thinking it was a bargain so wrong, we are true campers, had a few tents but I wouldn't recommend this tent Door doesn't zip fully, which I had to keep my dog on a lead constantly because she could escape underneath bottom of opened door, to many vents. It has lots of windows which was nice but some were like a mesh so could not open in rain would I recommend no and I would return if I could yes

Fair weather tent with design flaws

I returned this tent unopened after reading reviews and watching video reviews of this tent. There is no way to properly seal the entrance door. For a tent in this price range I would expect a sewn in groundsheet. Bugs, insects and rodents can access the front area of the tent due to the groundsheet not being sewn in. The hydrostatic head is only 2000mm, which is ok, but for the price I would expect a more technical specification. It’s a pity the design of this tent is so flawed. Buy this tent if you are a first time camper looking for something easy to set up and nice looking, and want to camp in calm and dry summer weather. Experienced campers will find the design flaws irritating. When Quechua improve their product I will buy without hesitation.
