How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
Backpack technical tests.
We carry out laboratory tests to validate every component: fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zips. For example, for fabric: resistance to abrasion and tearing, colour-fastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc. Then, a test that replicates several years of use of the backpack is conducted to check the strength of the assemblies. The backpack is filled with weights and placed on a mannequin that replicates thousands of fast walking movements.

So good I went back and bought two more! The one I use the most is for my work as a decorator. I use it every day to hold my note book and pens, iPhone and earphones, some candy and occasionally for a few tools. In the main compartment there is a zipped pocket that easily holds my large-screen iPhone. There are five pockets in all. It is lightweight, comfortable, and reasonably robust - I carry a few small tools in it often. I've had mine for six months. Very pleased.
I'm a mountain biker. I often wear bumbags. This one is fine around town too
When will this be available online? Restock please... I want to buy this one.
