You surf intensively, and it is your favourite sport. During your sessions, you paddle out to the line-up, duck-dive under the breaking waves if you are on a shortboard, or turtle-roll if you are on a longboard. You show dedication in powerful waves of more than one metre. Your swimsuit must stay in place for each of your movements, whatever the strength of the wave. We have designed a range for you that is suited to your intensive surfing and body shape.

Whether you be a surfer or enjoy bathing in the sea, you don’t want to lose your swimsuit! This is why we test all our swimsuits in the waves. Each model is designed for surfing and perfectly suits other watersports: stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, kite surfing, bathing, etc.

One day, one of our ambassadors, a surf instructor, told us about a session in Indonesia, during which, if she had not had a drawstring, she would have lost her swimsuit! All advanced surfers can relate to her experience! With them in mind we designed the Savana bikini bottoms. Thanks to its design and its drawstring, it ensures perfect hold in the waves, even when they are very powerful. Its cut open and feminine evacuates water quickly.

We design swimsuits that promise to stay in place in the waves. To test them, we use a panel of female surfers with different body shapes who follow a test protocol in a pool at our design offices in Hendaye, southwest France. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by surfers when being thrown around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea to test our swimwear in real conditions.

For 6 years, we have been working to show women's bodies with one goal: to make women feel beautiful in our swimwear. The chest is not crushed, the bum is not highlighted and the cleavage is enhanced. Our mission is to ensure that every woman, whatever her body type or size, finds a swimming costume that suits her.

From 2022, all women's swimsuits designed by Decathlon will be sold without plastic hygiene stickers. This responsible decision was made to help protect our planet and reduce plastic use. To ensure a perfect fit in the water, it is important to choose the right size while you are dry because once they are in the water, swimsuits become looser. We therefore recommend you buy the correct size. The swimsuit needs to fit snugly against your body in the fitting room, and you should feel supported. The elastane content in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

Is the size or style not suitable for you? Would you like to exchange it at your Decathlon store? No problem, just be sure not to cut off the label of the swimsuit in case you want to exchange it.

Based in Hendaye, in southwest France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surfing and bodyboarding brand. In our offices at the water's edge, we can design a swimsuit and then on the same day test it directly in the sea to check it stays in place in the waves.
